    Palaemon macrodactylus is a shrimp originating from estuaries in South East Asia. It was described from Japan (Rathbun ), but its distribution also includes Korea and the north coast of China (Newman ).It is a very resistant species, withstanding wide ranges of temperature and salinity (Newman ; Siegfried )..
